Ras Al Khaimah casino 2026 guide: September 2027 opening, licence and visitor facts

Is Wynn Al Marjan ready for visitors?

The two-line answer

The Ras Al Khaimah casino forms part of Wynn Al Marjan Island on Al Marjan Island, but the public could not visit on 10 August 2026. Wynn's newest official disclosure puts the start of guest stays in September 2027.

Status at a glance

The panel distinguishes finished work from planned events and ties each figure to a dated official source. Opening plans and operating details may change before launch, which is why the source date sits beside each entry.

What does Wynn Al Marjan Island offer?

A full resort, not a gaming hall alone

Wynn Al Marjan Island is Wynn's first integrated resort in the Middle East and North Africa, and its developers call it the UAE's first integrated resort as well. The plan brings together a hotel, gaming facility, restaurants, entertainment, shopping, spa, beach, marina and events centre.

Site and development partners

The development occupies more than 60 hectares on Al Marjan Island in Ras Al Khaimah, overlooking the Arabian Gulf. Entities linked to Wynn Resorts, Marjan and RAK Hospitality Holding are involved, while the gaming register names Island 3 AMI FZ-LLC.

Why the integrated resort format matters

This format puts the casino in a wider destination rather than treating it as the whole visit. Published details currently focus on the hotel, restaurants, beach and events, while Wynn has not released the gaming area's full characteristics.

Wynn Al Marjan is due to open in September 2027

The most reliable announcement

In its second quarter results on 4 August 2026, Wynn said guests should be welcomed in September 2027. That is the latest month it has named, ahead of articles that mention only 2027 or retain the first-quarter target.

How the earlier schedule changed

Earlier material pointed to the first quarter or spring 2027. Management later indicated a limited delay before adopting September, so the current guidance should be read as the official position rather than one of several equal dates.

Is September the final date?

An official disclosure carries more weight than a press estimate, but it still describes a future date while construction, fit-out and operations continue. Check the official resort website and Wynn releases before paying for a non-refundable trip.

The project path from announcement to opening

Milestones that changed the project

The dates below keep older announcements separate from the current target. They trace the Ras Al Khaimah casino from an announced idea to a licensed facility under construction with a named opening month.

Date of milestoneEventWhat readers should take from it
On 25 January 2022Joint project announced on Al Marjan IslandThe plan began with scope and dates still subject to change
On 4 October 2024Wynn disclosed receipt of a commercial gaming facility operator licenceThe project entered GCGRA's licensed commercial facility category
On 25 November 2025A site ceremony marked the 70-floor tower at 305 metresThe main tower reached a visible milestone before the spire and fit-out
In December 2025A later Wynn update recorded structural concrete completionWork moved further into the crown, facade and interior stages
On 2 February 2026Facade reached 83%, guest units were structurally complete and Wynn Bridge reached 48%This is the latest detailed official release on construction percentages
On 11 March 2026Building work resumed after a short pauseThe update described progress, not an opening or cancellation
On 29 June 2026Wynn announced a Punchdrunk theatre productionThe planned opening programme gained a named entertainment production
On 15 July 2026Wynn's investor presentation showed interior work continuingThe visual update placed the project in its active fit-out stage
On 4 August 2026September 2027 was named as the guest opening monthThis is the official date to use for present planning

Why November and December both appear

The resort page places the 70-floor ceremony on 25 November 2025, while a later Wynn update assigns structural completion to December 2025. November therefore marks the tower event and December marks the later construction record, keeping two different milestones from becoming one date.

Construction progress in August 2026

Exterior structure and facade

Wynn's 2 February 2026 release recorded structural concrete through the roof of level 71 and 21,852 fitted facade panels out of 26,471, or 83%. The guest site calls the tower 70 floors, while the construction release refers to level 71. Both published descriptions stay visible here without calculating an extra floor. The planned final height remains 352 metres with the spire.

Inside the tower and low-rise buildings

Lift and escalator installation was continuing, alongside mechanical, electrical and finishing work across the accommodation units. Concrete and structural steel work in the low-rise buildings had reached 99% in the February update, but that percentage does not make the spaces ready for guests.

The new Marjan Bay bridge

The new 548-metre Wynn Bridge, the Marjan Bay link, is intended to connect the resort through Wynn Boulevard and Marjan Avenue to E311 and E611. It stood at 48% complete on 2 February 2026, with piling finished and nine of ten column pile caps in place. Completion was then targeted for late 2026.

What the August figures show

Wynn's 4 August results described construction as moving quickly and set September 2027 as the opening target. They did not add a newer facade or bridge percentage, so the February figures remain tied to their date rather than being lifted through guesswork.

Gaming area and resort scale in figures

The newest official figure

Wynn's 2025 annual report, filed in March 2026, records a gaming area of 225,000 sq ft. That is about 20,900 sqm after conversion, and it is the figure used here because it comes from the newest direct corporate filing.

Why 18,500 sqm is still quoted

Older property and news reports give an approximate 18,500 sqm area. No newer Wynn disclosure explains the two figures as separate spaces, so 18,500 sqm stays an older circulating estimate and is not combined with the current filing.

Type of measureSelected figureHow to understand it
Gaming floor225,000 sq ft, approximately 20,900 sqmThe latest value in Wynn's annual report
Older figure still circulatedApproximately 18,500 sqmA previous estimate, not the current official lead
Project landOver 60 hectaresThe integrated resort as a whole, not gaming alone
Accommodation towerA tower of 70 floorsThe current description shown to guests
Tower height at the topping-out event305 metresThe earlier height before the final spire
Height after the spire352 metresThe planned final measurement above sea level

What the area cannot tell us

The floor measurement does not show how many tables or slot machines there will be, how games will be mixed, or how public and private areas will be divided. Wynn had not released those details by 10 August 2026, so precise counts require a newer operator source.

How the rooms, suites and residences are divided

Breakdown of 1,530 guest units

The February construction update said the 1,530 accommodation units had reached structural completion, while interior finishing continued. The categories below remain inside that total, so the apartments, townhomes and estates are not counted a second time.

Unit typeQuantityDescription on the published plan
Resort room units1,217 unitsMain Resort Tower rooms and suites
Enclave suite units297 unitsA hotel within the hotel on the upper floors
Royal Apartments units2 unitsTwo Royal Apartments at the tower's top
Garden Townhomes units4 unitsIndependent garden homes in the resort plan
Marina Estates units10 unitsResidences next to the marina
Total units1,530 unitsThe currently announced inventory

What does Enclave mean?

Enclave is the hotel-within-a-hotel arrangement on the upper floors, with a separate entrance, arrival area and lifts. It is built around suites and a distinct service setting, but Wynn has not announced rates, packages or a reservation start date.

Where did the 1,542-room figure come from?

Wynn used 1,542 in older releases during 2024 and 2025, before the current inventory was set out. The February 2026 update and present resort pages support 1,530, with a category breakdown that can be added and checked.

Dining, shows, shopping and art

A plan for 22 food and drink venues

The resort plan lists 22 restaurants, bars and lounges together with a Beach Club. The dining page says these venues will serve hotel guests and resort visitors. Wynn has announced a French-American steakhouse led by Alain Ducasse and Delilah, but restaurant reservations had not opened by this update.

The Showroom and Punchdrunk production

On 29 June 2026, Wynn announced a Punchdrunk partnership for an original show opening with the resort. The published concept gives ticket holders a choice between seated viewing upstairs and a moving interactive route downstairs and backstage, while dates and prices remain unpublished.

Shops and the art collection

The plan includes a naturally lit passage of luxury-brand shops, but Wynn has not released the full store list. The art collection will run through public areas and guest rooms, including Jeff Koons' 11-metre Tulips and historic and contemporary works by regional and international artists.

Beach, pools, spa and marina facilities

Facilities along the waterfront

The plan includes 420 metres of private white-sand beach and a deep-water marina intended for large yachts. A daytime Beach Club is also planned, but Wynn has not published day-pass details or access rules for non-guests.

Pools and wellness

Wynn lists 12 pools with private cabanas and landscaped surroundings, as well as a five-star spa, salon and fitness centre. Treatment prices, hours and pool-use rules are still unavailable, so a precise visit cost cannot include them.

What families can use

The official amenities list names a kids' club and outdoor activities, indicating that the non-gaming parts of the resort are also planned for families. Accepted ages, fees and supervision arrangements are not published, so childcare planning should wait for the guest guide.

Meetings and events at Coral Court

A 7,708 sqm centre for events

Coral Court is the resort's centre for celebrations and events, with a published area of 7,708 sqm. It will include six meeting rooms that can be rearranged, separate salons for brides and grooms, and private prayer rooms for men and women.

A column-free main ballroom

The main ballroom measures 2,633 sqm, has no columns and looks towards the marina. The figure helps event organisers compare venues, but it is not a fixed capacity because tables, stages and aisles change the seating plan.

Before confirming an event booking

By 10 August 2026, Wynn had not published venue packages, prices or a minimum booking spend. When sales begin, ask for a written capacity plan and a quote covering production, food, cancellation and accessibility rather than estimating attendance from area alone.

Getting to the Al Marjan Island resort

Nearest airport and journey from Dubai

The resort sits on Al Marjan Island in Ras Al Khaimah, not in Dubai. Its website estimates about 15 minutes by car from Ras Al Khaimah International Airport, while a 2025 Wynn financing release put the Dubai International Airport journey at about 50 minutes.

Departure point or routeOfficial statementPlanning step

Dubai International Airport routeWynn's 2025 release estimates about 50 minutes, and the resort is less than 50 miles awayAdd baggage and traffic time instead of treating the estimate as a promise

What the Marjan Bay bridge adds

The 548-metre bridge is meant to give the resort a direct connection to the wider road network, but the latest detailed update still treated it as work in progress. Wait for an operating announcement or confirmation on current road maps before assuming the route is open.

Arrival check on travel day

Confirm the final drop-off point after reservations open because the hotel, events centre and marina may have separate entrances. Keep spare time in the plan and do not pay for a transfer that is absent from written booking confirmation.

  • Check the airport, terminal and flight number before arranging transport.
  • Review E311, E611 and Wynn Bridge conditions on the day.
  • Ask the hotel to identify the entrance and baggage drop-off point.
  • Confirm parking, valet and accessible arrival choices during booking.

Who holds the GCGRA licence and runs the facility?

Naming the licensee

The GCGRA licensee register places Island 3 AMI FZ-LLC, trading as Wynn Al Marjan, among the land-based gaming facilities. Wynn announced on 4 October 2024 that this entity received the first commercial gaming facility operator licence issued in the UAE.

What the licence confirms

The current register confirms that the named entity is licensed to operate the specified land-based facility under GCGRA supervision. It does not automatically cover another Wynn website, offer or online intermediary, and The Game LLC remains separately listed for the UAE Lottery. The wider framework is explained on our UAE gambling laws page.

Checks required before opening

Before guests arrive, the operator should publish the gaming floor's age, identity, admission, responsible gaming and complaints rules. Until those rules appear, do not transfer entry conditions from Wynn properties in other countries to this one.

What remains unannounced?

What is known and unknown on 10 August 2026

Operating rules usually take shape in the months before opening, so the missing details deserve the same care as the confirmed figures. The table keeps an email sign-up, design image or third-party offer from being mistaken for a booking or promise to operate.

Email interest is not a booking

The resort pages collect an email address and areas of interest for news and early updates. This does not reserve a room, restaurant table or theatre seat, and it fixes neither a price nor a priority without a separate booking confirmation.

A three-stage check

Begin with the official resort website, compare the licence with the GCGRA register, and compare the opening month with Wynn's newest disclosure. If an official channel does not provide a detail, label it unannounced instead of borrowing a policy from another resort.

  1. Check the page or disclosure date, not its headline alone.
  2. Keep a construction target separate from an event that has happened.
  3. Save the booking confirmation and cancellation terms when sales begin.

Plan a responsible visit after opening

Check your age and set a budget

This page and its gaming material are for adults aged 18 and over. GCGRA standards treat anyone under 21 as underage for commercial gaming other than lottery. Wynn had not published the final identity and entry conditions for the gaming floor, so verify them before travelling and do not assume hotel access covers every facility.

A dirham budget example

Take a future one-day entertainment budget of 800 United Arab Emirates dirhams (AED) as a planning example, not a Wynn price. Reserve AED 500 for transport, food and contingency, then set AED 300 as the gaming ceiling whatever the result.

Clear stopping limits

Choose the money limit and finishing time before entering the gaming area, and leave extra cards and funds outside the plan. Once either limit is reached, leave rather than moving contingency money into another stake or chasing a loss.

  • Keep rent, bills and borrowed money away from gaming.
  • Do not increase a stake to recover an earlier round.
  • Set an alarm for the end of the session and take breaks.
  • Stop using the ATM once the planned limit is reached.
  • Use cooling-off or self-exclusion tools if Wynn offers them and you need one.

When support is needed

Stop when gaming leads to hidden spending, borrowing, anxiety, or neglect of work and relationships. Our responsible gambling guide sets out warning signs, a stopping plan and support options in more detail.
